To be or not to be-FRUGAL!

I am trying to start the coupon clipping thing. Does anyone have advice on how to sort them and what your system is? I always start but end up a little overwhelmed. Have a great Monday!
If you know any web sites too let me know. Thanks. Jenn

Hey Jennifer!

I love the site www.moneysavingmom.com, she posts all kinds of great deals.

Right now, I am not able to do as much as I have in the past, but I figure it is a season. Although, I do miss the days of free toothpaste : ) I won't deny that!

My current strategy is to pick up whatever loss leaders the grocery store chains are advertising, and then mostly Aldi/Sams.

Every once in a while I put in an order at Alice.com if I see on MSM that they have some great deals.

I am not cutting coupons at all, b/c I simply couldn't keep up with it. However, I am still coming in below budget each week.

I've been surprised and blessed by the deals that there have been, requiring no coupons whatsoever.

Let me know if you have any questions! I know it can be intimidating and frustrating to find your groove and what works and is worth it to your family.

You can do it!

Jennifer, I have been meaning to respond to your question, but looks like Shawna beat me to it. :) I have couponed off and on - the last couple months just due to the busyness of the holidays I've kinda slacked off a little. What point are you at with this whole couponing thing? Do you know anyone who does it? What stores do you have up there? I've noticed that the only way I can keep my budget down is to go to multiple stores a week and buy their best deals (a hassle, I know, but it is the only thing that has worked for me). This usually means that I go to 3-4 stores. It only takes a couple hours though. Do any of the stores you go to mark down meat or produce that needs to be used soon? That is where I've found my biggest savings, and lots of times I buy as much of it as I can and freeze it.

Hope that helps! Couponing is great too, if you have time for it - mostly couponing enabled me to get household items and toilettries for good deals...let me know if you have questions. I would be happy to help! ;)
